Hey, It's St Patrick's Day

I'm not a big fan of St Patrick's Day. First, I'm not Irish and secondly, I don't drink beer no matter what color it is. Most times I don't even remember to wear green. Today I wore a rose colored top.

So for all you celebrants of St Patrick's Day, may the luck of the Irish be with you.

Now onto something I do like to do and that is knit. I almost finished my third square for the Great American Aran Afghan. I am waiting until class on Saturday to finish it off with four bobbles. I have never done bobbles and thought that I should get the teachers input. I did start the next square. It is a plain square with an Aran sweater sewn onto the square. I thought that I could at least handle the plain square without the instructors input. How could I possibly mess that up. Well I didn't read the instructions for one of the rows and had to frog already.

Where Have I Been

No where.

I was just plain lazy, or as Daisy would say on "Keeping Up Appearances", bone idle. I haven't been back here since I started my blog.

What have I been doing.

I'm on my third square for the American Aran Afghan. This one has been a difficult one to knit. I have frogged it several times. I have now come to the conclusion, that no matter how many times I start over, it will never look like the picture. My class for this square is on Saturday. I wanted to get the square done up to the center bobble. The instructor wanted to have another class just on the bobble, but since I work on Saturday's, I just can't come in whenever. I have to also coordinate my work schedule with the knitting class and this may not be feasable. That is why I wanted to get the block done up to the center bobble.

I haven't gotten my digital camera either. Denton (hubby) did get me a new Ipod for my birthday. Maybe if I ask really nice, he will also get me the camera. ;-) Wishful thinking here.
I did manage to get most of my knitting books listed on Ravelry. That's another site that I haven't kept up with. I will find the time one of these days to do both sites.

April 1st starts the local baseball season. Go Reading Phillies. This will entail five months of being at the ball park every other week. Then there is a trip to Wriggly Stadium over Labor Day weekend. My Summer is kept busy with baseball and just being outdoors in general. Knitting takes a back seat over the Summer.
